Welcome New Families - This is a coffee social to greet all new families, whether they be parents of freshmen or transfer students. It will be held in the cafeteria, from 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 16 and is hosted by Karen Wilcox and Lynn Velloza. Please come! We want to meet you!
Palecek Estate Sale - This sale of new and fabulous Palecek home accessories and furnishings will take place in the gym on Saturday, September 23 and is chaired by Julia York, Laura Hislop, and Deanne LaRue.
Mom's Night Out - All moms are invited for a social dinner at Peacock Gap on Wednesday, October 4. The event is chaired by Laura Mogannam and Susan Conroy. Invitations will be sent to MCPA members - send in your reservation!
Father-Daughter Dinner Dance - This is an event you won't want to miss! The festivities are at the Embassy Suites on Friday,October 6. Mail in your reservation as soon as you receive your invitation. This dance always sells out.
Spirituality Day - This is a Mass in the gym with the students. Father Daly will inspire us afterwards at a coffee and morning retreat. Absolutely all are welcome on Wednesday, November 1. This day is chaired by Maureen Jochum.
Sophomore Parent Social - All sophomore parents, but no sophomore students! Share a potluck dinner, bring a bottle of wine, and enjoy meeting parents of "wise fools." Held in Cafeteria on Sunday, November 5. All are welcome, but we need two chairs!
Staff Christmas Lunch - Here's your chance to thank all those faculty members and staff that have made MC such a great school. The cafeteria is transformed from Scrooge's office to Santa's dining hall on Friday, December 1. The lunch is chaired by Kim Lynch and Andea Pannes. All are welcome to contribute their services.
MCPA Christmas Lunch - Let's be jolly together! All are invited, but mailings are sent only to members (due to postage costs). The lunch, on Wednesday, December 6, is chaired by Kim Bourdet and will be held at The Club at McInnis Park in San Rafael. Send in your reservation, bring an ornament for the gift exchange, and you're set!
Mother-Son Dinner Dance - Your son will enjoy this, even if he initially balks. Truly, don't miss this! Jot down Saturday, February 10 for the time of your life. Mail in your reservation early. This event always sells out and is hosted by Gail Piro and Marci DeClaris.
Staff Appreciation Day - This event takes place on February 13 in the faculty lounge. All are welcome to bring delicacies of fruit, cheese, pastries, etc. for our hard working staff. Contact Terri Geck or Debbie Kiraly.
Junior Parent Social - All junior parents are welcome, but leave your juniors at home. Carol Claypool and Donna Spinelli are chairing this event! Be there on Sunday, February 25 in the Cafeteria for a pot luck. You just need to bring a bottle of wine and your assigned dish.
Fashion Show - The highlight of all our events and the diamond of our fundraisers. Whether your child is a model or not, you won't want to miss the Luncheon show, Dinner show, or both! It will be held Saturday, April 21 at the Civic Center and chaired by Kim Stempel, Kim Morgan, and Pat Keaney. You won't believe your eyes!
MCPA Spring Lunch - Kim Bourdet is chairing this event on Wednesday, May 2. All are welcome. We will be honoring outgoing senior parents, retired board officers, and the hard working chairs this year.
Seniors and Parents' Dinner - The only class social where you can bring your student. This is held in the cafeteria on Thursday, May 10. It will be chaired by Dolores Gebhardt. Graduation plans are reviewed.
Safe and Sober Grad Night - The hard working Kim and Tim Morgan, and Mariann Barry are chairing this event for all graduating seniors on Thursday, May 31, right after graduation. It is held at the Mount Tam Racquet Club.
