Academic Concern Policy
Protocol for Resolving Academic Conflicts
(from page 26 of the Parent/Student Handbook)
- Student should talk to teacher and/or counselor about any specific concerns in the class.
- Parent should contact the teacher about any specific concerns in the class.
- Parent and Student should contact Department Chair if no resolution has been achieved.
- Parent and Student should contact Asst. Principal of Curriculum and Instruction if no resolution has been achieved. The Asst. Principal will convene a meeting of all involved to reach closure on the situation.
- If any party is not satisfied with the decision reached, an appeal may be made to the Principal who will offer a final determination.
