Open Position:   Revenue Accountant, Business Office

Regular Full-time, Exempt, Year Round

Job Description:

This position will have the primary responsibility for all tuition revenue accounting including processing of monthly EFT payments, setting up annual billing plans, working with parents to effect billing changes throughout the year, and coordination with Archdiocese accounting personnel regarding tuition. Duties also include preparation of reports to assist the Business Manager’s collection efforts, and other general accounting duties and projects. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree with an Accounting major or concentration or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two to four years experience working in an accounting position.  Experience with accounting for contracts receivable a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills with sound knowledge of MS Office and accounting software.  Experience with Financial Edge receivable software, Bank of America ACH, and/or GOOGLE DOCS a plus.
  • Evidence of ability to learn new accounting software applications and to figure out how to maximize the use of existing applications.
  • Ability to make independent decisions within assigned area of responsibility and work without close supervision. Must demonstrate ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with confidential matters and displaying professional discretion at all times.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and harmoniously with others.  Must be able to prioritize tasks and work in a busy environment where frequent interruptions may occur.

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefit package includes medical (option of either Blue Cross EPO or Kaiser), dental and other employee insurance plans, Archdiocese of San Francisco Retirement Plan, 403 (b) plan option, Sec. 125 Flex Plan option, and paid time off for vacation, sick time, and holidays.
