First Concussion Baseline Clinic Friday, May 10
|
In 2009, amid growing concerns about sport related concussions in
young athletes, Marin Catholic High School partnered with Dr. Eric J.
Freitag, a neuropsychologist and expert on concussion assessment and
care. Marin Catholic now has a comprehensive sport concussion assessment
and management program which has provided us with an effective tool in
ensuring that MC athletes have recovered from their concussion and are
returned to the field safe, health and ready! There will be a series of
baseline testings, beginning with the first one on Friday,
May 10 in the Pope John Paul II Student Center immediately after flex
dismissal. Fall sport athletes are strongly encouraged to sign up for
this first baseline testing on May 10 to avoid fall testing from
interfering with practice or games in the fall. For more information about the Sport Concussion Program, please read the letter to parents and athletes and visit www.sportconcussion.com. You may also contact Jamie Waterman(MCHS, Certified Athletic Trainer) for specific questions regarding the MCHS program.

Freshman, Sophomore and Junior parents- we need your help!
Following commencement for our graduating class, the Marin Catholic
parent community hosts a safe and fun gathering for the class to
celebrate their accomplishments and cherish their last night together.
It begins right after graduation and runs until 3am the following

Help is needed to set up, work at the party and clean up after. Please
check out and sign up for the positions we still need to fill here. Thank you for your help in making this evening a success- we can not do it without you.
