GO CATS!! At Marin Catholic, our athletic program offers more opportunities than any school north of the Golden Gate Bridge. With 29 sports, 49 individual teams and over 85% student participation, the Wildcats traditionally finish at or near the top in the Marin County Athletic League standings. Additionally, almost every one of our teams earn North Coast Section Scholastic Team Awards, with many varsity teams winning NCS Scholastic Champion awards. Our students' commitment to academic and athletic excellence makes Marin Catholic a great community for shaping and inspiring well rounded young men and women.
All athletes must have a 2.0 to play sports in high school, however, we expect everyone to succeed beyond the minimum requirement. In fact, each year almost all of our teams earn Distinguished Scholastic Team awards by the North Coast Section and our teams are typically among the highest GPA’s in the North Coast Section, we have some banners to prove it.
Coach O’Hearn is in charge of all of the equipment and works with the coaches to make sure you are properly equipped. Please take care of your uniforms, wear them with pride and turn them in cleaned at the end of each season.
We expect commitment to Marin Catholic first over any other sport. To that end, we have 2 major requirements:
If you have an unexcused absence from a practice or a game, you will be suspended for ½ of your next competition.
If you quit a team after the 5-day tryout is complete, you may not participate in another sport until the current sports season has ended, AND you are not able to participate in the first 2 competitions of your next sport (1 if less than 10 games).
