SENIOR GRADUATION EVENTS

  
The Class of 2024 graduation is approaching fast! You are likely feeling anxious, excited, and maybe a bit relieved, but certainly, proud. You have reached a parental milestone and given your children a gift they will appreciate more fully throughout the rest of their lives. The faculty, staff, and administration of Marin Catholic are proud to recognize the achievements of our graduates and to acknowledge your sacrifice and dedication.  We thank you for your trust in and support of us.

    Seniors AM CATS (Mandatory): Meet With Counselors for Final College Data List

    Counselors will be meeting with the Senior class during AM CATS for the final college data list. We ask that students come prepared with their list of schools applied to along with all admission outcomes and their final decision. Students are encouraged to come to school this day, representing the school they are planning on attending next fall. Please make sure to follow all MC Spirit Day Guidelines.

    Senior Honors Assembly

    Liturgy Dress for all students. All Senior family members are welcome.
    • Location: Freitas Memorial Gym
    • Liturgy Dress for all students. All Senior family members are welcome. 
    • Seniors need to be in the gym by 10am.

    Senior Ball

    • Students will receive contracts and bid information at a future class-level meeting.
    • A communication specific to this event will be sent out in early April.

    There will be no school for seniors on this day.

    Graduation Rehearsal #1

    Location: MC Gym 
    Attendance: Seniors are required to attend all three Graduation rehearsals. The rehearsal does not begin until all seniors have arrived.  At 10:05am, calls are made to the parents and seniors of those not in attendance.
    Distribution of Caps & Gowns: Caps and gowns will be distributed at the end of the first Graduation rehearsal. Caps and gowns will not be distributed to any senior who has outstanding detentions, delinquent tuition, Library books, Athletic equipment/uniforms to return or other responsibilities to be met. Marin Catholic ordered and purchased caps and gowns for all graduates at the beginning of the school year.

    Time: 7:00pm
    A communication specific to this event will be sent out at the beginning of April.  
    Each graduate will be allotted seven guests.

    Senior College Night for Parents

    This event is for parents/guardians of seniors. Counselors will review the application process, finding the right fit school, FAQs, and how to work with your child to help them through the process. The meeting will be held in the SJPII.

    Senior Mandatory AM Counseling/Campus Ministry CATS: College Application/Christian Service Meeting

    In this meeting, the final items for the College Project will be reviewed which include Counselor and Teacher surveys and an official Teacher Letter of Recommendation request via SCOIR. Class of 2023 SCOIR accounts will be set up so that all applications and documents are sent through each student's SCOIR portal. 

    Those students that have not completed 100 of service will meet with Campus Ministry for guidance.

    College Forum for Seniors & Parents (via Zoom)

    This meeting will take place via zoom. Counselors will be available to discuss any questions parents may have regarding the college search, research, and application process, standardized testing (SAT/ACT), financial aid, College Application Workshop for Seniors, and upcoming deadlines. Seniors are welcome to join on the Zoom meeting.
