Description: Plein Air is a dedication and love of the natural world and is expressed through the work of the artist. The practice goes back for centuries but was truly made into an art experience by the French Impressionists. One of the Plein Air (painting outside) goals is to finish an entire piece outdoors offering many advantages to improve your skills and your ability to see truth and beauty that can be found in color, light, and expression of nature.
  • You’ll learn how to teach your eye to see and convey the “moment”.
  • You will learn how natural light impacts painting and drawing.
  • Together, we will discuss and seek a greater understanding of composition and color mixing.
  • The Plein Air process will help you develop an accuracy in drawing and painting outside.
  • You will receive your very own Plein Air Art Kit.  No other supplies are needed, and all you need is a willingness to make art!
