What: Meander the quaint and historical streets of Old Hanoi and sample the freshest flavors of Vietnamese cuisine on every corner. Explore Ngoc Son-Ngo Luong Nature Reserve where you will stay in a Muong village and contribute to an ongoing service initiative. Spend a night aboard a private Junk Boat on Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, stopping to explore caves, karsts, and islands as you go. Most of our time will be spent in the remote Tu Do commune. Students will be living with families and participating in an ongoing community-based service project. After service is done for the day, we will strengthen our ties to the community by exploring the surrounding environment and various village activities. After our service project, we will be exploring cultural and historical sites in Vietnam including the city of Hanoi and Halong Bay. View the itinerary to the right under "important links".
Christian Service Hours: With this trip, students will be eligible to submit 25 Christian Service hours. Travel trips will not be counted towards the 50-Hour Project, as that is a local community-based initiative.
