Alumna Kara Torre '11 Returns to Speak to Honors Bioethics Students

MC alumna Kara Torre '11 is a nursing student at University of Portland. Kara returned to MC during her fall break to speak to the senior Honors Bioethics students about her experience in nursing school, how her faith informs her practice of care and healing, and the challenges she faces as a Catholic in the medical profession. "Just like we did at MC, Catholic health care looks to treat the whole person", she told the students. Kara told stories about how her experience at Marin Catholic -- in her science classes, her theology studies, and service work -- has carried over into her nursing studies. Kara's twin sister Kailtin ('11) is also a nursing student at Gonzaga University.
