MC Students Rank #1 in Division for TEAMS Competition at Stanford

The TEAMS (Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics and Science) competition is a national competition that Mu Alpha Theta participates in every February at our local testing site, Stanford. Each year, there is a theme for the competition; this year's theme was Engineering Tomorrow's Cities -Improving Urban Infrastructure. This year, Mu Alpha Theta and MC's Engineering Club joined to form our biggest team yet. The students spent several weeks researching the topic and preparing for the competition together. On February 22, the twelve Marin Catholic students spent the day at Stanford; in two groups of six, working through difficult multiple choice questions and writing essays in response to questions about improving our cities. The day also included a solar powered car presentation and some fun games of ultimate frisbee

One of our Marin Catholic groups placed 1st out of 29 schools in our division, nationwide.*

*There were 11 divisions; divisions depend on the size of the school.
