Opening Day Mass

On Friday, August 15, Marin Catholic kicked off the 2014-2015 school year with an Assumption of Mary Mass, honoring Mary, the Mother of God, of her Feast Day. Monsignor Sheeran celebrated this special Mass, members of the ASB participated in readings and Mass parts, and many of our families joined including our newest members of the Class of 2018.
Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul to heavenly glory. Mary is the perfect example of the rewards bestowed on those who say “yes” to Christ, and proclaim the greatness of the Lord. She reminds us of our school motto that “All things are possible with God” (Mark 10:27).  We pray through the intercession of Mary that we may all say “yes” to Christ and believe in His divine plan. Like Mary, may we find joy in God our Savior.
