MLAX Wins NCS, Baseball/Softball advance!

Men's Lacrosse won back-to-back NCS Championships, defeating Acalanes 9-8.  Baseball and Softball also advance to the MCAL Championship Friday.
It was a pretty good night for the Wildcats on Friday. Softball won a nail biter, with Carly Slack striking out 3 batters with the bases loaded to secure a 4-3 win. Baseball took it to extra innings, winning 2-1 on a walk-off walk by Michael Prazker in 9 innings. Thank you to Lynn Maloney for being our admin for softball and Todd Novak for representing baseball - as well as the other fac/staffers in attendance. Both teams play tonight for the MCAL Championship, each against Redwood. Softball will be playing at San Marin High School at 6:30pm and baseball will be at Albert Park in San Rafael at 7:00pm. I invite you all to attend and cheer on our students.

Last night also saw the first "Triple Crown" for men's lacrosse in the MCAL as the boys completed the trifecta of winning the regular season, league playoffs, and last night, the North Coast Section Championship. Another thriller, the 9-8 win saw stellar play by goalie Shane Kunst, great defense by Jack Horan and Sawyer Cairns, goals by the O'Keefe brothers, Scott Glowner and the first varsity goal by Matty Hill, and an incredible show of grit by Hayden Holland who won 70% of his face offs while playing with a separated shoulder and a torn ligament in his leg.

In addition to the MCAL Championship games for baseball and softball, track is also competing in the NCS meet today. It's another big day for the Wildcats so please help me wish these kids good luck!
