Congratulations to our Boys State and Girls State Winners!
American Legion Boys' State and Girls' State are among the most respected and selective educational program of government instruction for US high school students; i.e. a participatory program in which students become part of the operation of local, county and state government. Candidates are interviewed by members of the American Legion and one delegate is chosen to represent each high school in the state. Genevieve Finn '17 was chosen to be Marin Catholic's Girls' State delegate and will be heading to Claremont McKenna College for the one week program this summer. Wesley Malone '17 and Alex Kassil '17 were chosen to be Marin Catholic's delegates to Boy State and will be heading for CSU Sacramento for the one week program. Each American Legion Post sponsors the delegate. We have two posts sponsoring delegates to Boys' State this year, so that is the reason we are allowed two delegates. Congratulations to all!
