Theater Department Presents MC Live!
On December 9 & 10, MC Live showcased the creativity of Marin Catholic's theater department with a three-night show that was written, directed, produced, and presented entirely by MC students. Four student leaders - Dario Apodaca '17, Jade Fagersten '17, Brennen Halsey '18, and Jake Olsen '18 - organized the show, which put an MC spin on favorite Saturday Night Live skits and presented original scenes as well.

Friday night's energy was contagious, as the sold out show was filled with students, teachers, administrators, alumni, parents, and guests who came ready to laugh and enjoy classic SNL scenes like Weekend Update, the Cheerleaders, Olympia Cafe "Cheeseburger", Matt Foley, and Californians. The audience sang "All I Want for Christmas is You" along with the musical guests, and enjoyed student actors for Mr. Thompson, Ms. Reemsnyder, Mr. and Ms. Jaeger, and Ms. Smith in Teacher Jeopardy. Host Evan Shashaty '17 dueled writer and actor Brennen Halsey '18 in an original stage composition, and all enjoyed Dario's film and editing work in the video short, Santa Baby. A full slate of students produced the show, sharing their technical and stage talents.
