Jordan Baldwin -- University of Santa Clara, Baseball
Isabella Bergmark -- University of California, Berkeley, Volleyball
Toula Falvey -- University of Pacific, Water Polo
Samantha Horan -- San Diego State University, Lacrosse
Riley Ramsey -- University of Pacific, Volleyball
Jack Scherer -- University of Utah, Lacrosse
Spencer Petras -- Iowa Football

Football- The Marin Catholic Varsity Football team won both an MCAL and NCS championship. They finish the season at 12-1, in what turned out to be a remarkable season. Shoutout to the Dance team for all of their support throughout the season

Quarterback Spencer Petras threw for over 4,100 yards to compliment 59 total touchdowns in what turned out to be a record-smashing year. Wide receiver Peter Brown caught 23 of Petras’ touchdown passes in addition to his 1,500 receiving yards. Tight end Ben Skinner also eclipsed the 1000-yard receiving mark, managing to break the school record for receiving yards in a game (256) along the way.

Volleyball- The Women’s Varsity Volleyball team also made it to their respective Norcal Finals, where they were defeated. The Lady Cats finish their amazing season top ten in the state, and top forty in the nation, also winning MCAL and NCS championships along the way.
Cross Country- The girls qualified for the CIF State Meet for the first time in more than a decade. For the men, sophomore Lyle Rumon qualified.

  • All teams and all levels of teams were NCS Scholastic Teams
  • Cheer/Dance Program: 29 girls performed this year
  • Women’s Water Polo: 2nd in the MCAL and an NCS Semifinalist.  The girls have made the MCAL Championship each of the past 4 years!
  • Tennis: 4th in the MCAL and an NCS Quarterfinalist, winning their first NCS game in several years
  • Field Hockey: Over 60 girls participated and they are continuing to improve. 2018 marks the first time it will be an MCAL sport!
  • Women’s Golf: Allison Gikkas finished in 3rd for the MCAL and qualified for NCS
  • Men’s Waterpolo: Continued to see their numbers grow and are hopeful for next year


Alumni Welcome Back Program: Also new this year is the Alumni Welcome Back program. This program was started in the Fall as Marin Catholic Welcomed back the 5-time MCAL Champion Women’s Volleyball Teams from 1992-1996. On Thursday, February 1, Athletics will celebrate the 1998 MCAL and NCS Champion Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams.
 
Athletic Council: This Fall marks the institution of the first ever Athletic Council where students from various sports meet once a month to talk about athletic culture, program improvement, new traditions, and Connection to Student-Athletes. Please welcome the following Athletes to our new council:
