Seniors receive top priority for parking spaces in Marin Catholic's parking lot followed by juniors.
In order to receive a parking space, students must fill out an application, along with a valid driver's license and check for $150 by the deadline each year (deadline is usually at the beginning of June for the following school year). Incoming seniors who meet this deadline are assigned a parking space for the following school year. The remaining spaces are given to juniors through a lottery system.
Every student (without a restricted license) who is assigned a space is required to have a carpool. Due to space limitations, students who do not have their license by the June 1 deadline are not be eligible for a parking spot.
All students are encouraged to carpool to school to ease traffic. Marin Catholic provides the resources for families to seek out and arrange their own carpool.
For families who require more flexible transportation options, we have partnered with Zum (safe reliable rides for kids) to offer carpooling services. Whether you need a one-time ride or a consistent pickup schedule, Zum can assist your family. With a handy app, parents and students are able to schedule pick ups and drop offs with ease. Whether you want to develop a carpool with other families in the mornings or afternoons or if you are just stuck at work and can't get to MC, Zum is a great solution.
