To further develop the leaders of tomorrow, the Board of Regents at Marin Catholic has developed a 20-year Internal Vision Plan that focuses on giving students the tools to thrive in a changing, competitive global landscape. This plan guarantees that students will have access to cutting-edge technology and ensures that they will receive all the training and tools necessary to engage with the world in the 21st century.
The first step in this plan is the complete renovation of St. Anselm Hall, a building originally constructed in 1949 as a convent for the religious sisters who comprised the teaching staff. The configuration of that building has remained intact today - long, internal hallways and tiny rooms (called cells) that were used as living quarters which are now used for individual offices and storage.
In the Fall of 2020, MC will open the new St. Anselm Hall featuring a Theater, a Counseling Center, Campus Ministry Department, and our new Principled Entrepreneurship Institute. As of April 2020, the old St. Anselm Hall has already undergone a complete internal demolition and only the outside facade remains. Concrete was just poured for the new internal foundation and construction for a new state-of-the-art building is now underway.
This project was designed with the health and wellness of the student body. Open spaces for students to connect, study and meet were a priority. The proximity of connecting the Campus Ministry Offices to the Counseling Center to support our students mentally and spiritually was a must.
