On Friday, December 2, the Marin Catholic community had the privilege of hosting the esteemed Catholic University Business Professor Andreas Widmer for a screening of the movie Poverty Inc. and an enlightening Q&A session afterwards.
Each year during the week leading up to finals, each class participates in a fun deck-the-halls competition. Each class decorates their corresponding campus hall with lights and decorations making it feel like Christmas.
On Sunday, December 11, over 40 vendors provided a great holiday shopping experience in Marin Cathoic's gymasium. The event raised over $10,000 for our Safe and Sober Grad Night!
On December 9 & 10, MC Live showcased the creativity of Marin Catholic's theater department with a three-night show that was written, directed, produced, and presented entirely by MC students. Four student leaders - Dario Apodaca '17, Jade Fagersten '17, Brennen Halsey '18, and Jake Olsen '18 - organized the show, which put an MC spin on favorite Saturday Night Live skits and presented original scenes as well.

On the Immaculate Conception, we celebrated the Blessed Virgin Mary being born without original sin, which is why we say "Hail Mary, full of grace." The Girls’ League Club and Varsity Men’s Football Team participated in the Mass by reading the scripture passages, offering prayers of the faithful, and serving the Mass.

Alumna Kellis Johnson '06 makes a return to the MC as a JV coach and a specialized goalie coach. During her time at MC, Johnson broke school records by holding a current record no more than 4 goals in a season and had a record breaking shut out.
Today, Friday, November 18, we welcomed our Marin Catholic grandparents and special friends to MC’s annual Thanksgiving Mass, followed by a special reception with iced tea and treats, hosted by President Tim Navone and Principal Chris Valdez in the Saint John Paul II Student Center.
On November 16 and the 17, the Performing Arts Department sold out both nights of their Fall Concert Series: Soundtracks. The concert series featured 24 acts over two nights with a variety of music from Pantera to Mozart.
In 2014 Matt Diener ‘17 turned a school project into a business deal. With his passion of skating he created a brand called Expose Skateboards. The same year Teddy Russell ‘17 was also creating his own brand called Playclub, starting off with stickers and expanding to hats.

Marin Catholic Marine Science Students, along with teacher Joe Ward, took a trip out on the San Francisco Bay aboard the 90-foot Robert G. Browlee Research Vessel on the bay and discovered the life in the estuary and how we are connected to it.

Photo 2 and Honors 3 went to Pier 24, the largest photo exhibition center in the country, to experience the exhibit and make photos along the waterfront and in SF.
Throughout each academic year, the junior theology classes each spend a day in service as they encounter Christ in the poor in San Francisco. They serve at the St. Anthony's Foundation in San Francisco by cooking and making meals in the dining Hall, delivering food to shut ins, visiting with the elderly in the Tenderloin, and helping organize items in the clothing program. Sister Teresa Benedicta has gone with four of her junior theology classes this year, along with members of our faculty and staff.
From the victorious football game, to the crowning of Queen Bella Ravina, to the Disney-themed dance, students had a fun-filled Homecoming experience and wore their Wildcat pride loud and proud.
