Installation Mass - Welcoming New ASB Leaders

Monsignor Sheeran celebrated the Installation Mass on May 12 as we installed the new officers elected for the Associated Student Body (ASB) council. Monsignor's homily reflected on the Gospel message of Christ washing the feet of his disciples. This outpouring of servant leadership highlights the message that we are all called to serve one another, and to be humble in our efforts. The newly elected ASB officers recited a pledge and were blessed during the liturgy. The outgoing ASB members passed on the responsibility of leadership by lighting a candle from the Easter candle on the altar, and then passing the flame to a newly elected officer's candle. This passing on of light is symbolic of our belief that Christ is the light of life, and we are all called to shine our light with the Marin Catholic community by sharing our gifts and talents. May is also the month that the Catholic church celebrates Mary, the Mother of God, and she was crowned at the beginning of the liturgy by outgoing senior class council member Gina Erigero as the school sang the Immaculate Mary hymn.
