As a result of this year's Lenten Drive, Marin Catholic raised over $8,000 for Uganda in the spirit of Poverty Inc. Organized by Mr. Tassone, this was the 16th year in MC has helped raise money for those in need. 100% of all donations this year will go toward three different programs in Uganda: the environmentally friendly Brick Making Machinery, a Piggery for a seminary, and a roof for the school in Father Samuel’s (of St. Isabella’s) town.

Congratulations to the following classes for raising the most money: Mr. Stewart, Mr. Manfredi, Sister Teresa Benedicta, Dr. Fontaine, and Mr. Joseph. The generous donations are greatly appreciated.

This summer, Mr. Tassone and his daughter Maria Tassone '19 are traveling to Uganda to see the implementation of the sustainable brick making machine project. They will also be teaching at the local school and will visit Father Samuel’s school.
