We are all in for MC! At Marin Catholic, parent involvement makes us a community. As partners in education, your family is encouraged to participate early and often. Your investment of time and talents not only supports our community, it adds to your family's experience at Marin Catholic.

We hope you will consider volunteering in any way your schedule allows. For current parents, our Volunteer Interest Form is located on the Resource Board. We hope you will note your interest in supporting our event and community efforts at Marin Catholic in the 2018-2019 school year. For more opportunities, or questions, please contact Sandy Starkey, Manager of Community & Alumni Relations at 464-3844 or sstarkey@marincatholic.org.

Parent/Family Volunteers

The gift of time and talent is an essential resource for Marin Catholic and makes our community vibrant. There are many opportunities to lend your energy and expertise to our school and we expect all parents to volunteer in some capacity each year. Whether you enjoy helping with community events and fundraisers, supporting drama or music productions, being a team parent, or assisting with Campus Ministry -- there is something special for everyone For enrolled families, please visit the Resources link in MC Connect to fill out the 2018-2019 Volunteer Interest Survey or contact Sandy Starkey at sstarkey@marincatholic.org.

Parent/Family Volunteer Commitment

As a community, we rely on our families to support Marin Catholic by participating in the life of the community. We ask that each family donate a minimum of 10 hours of service in an area of interest each school year. The following are areas where volunteers can share their time and talent to benefit the MC community
  • Service as a member of a board, such as the MCCA Board, Parent Advisory Board or Board of Regents
  • Volunteering for a community event such as: Mother Son Dance, Father Daughter Dance, Golf Classic, MC Gala, Holiday Shopping Boutique , Christmas Faculty Lunch, Booster’s Crab Feed, Spring Auction/Fashion Show, Senior Dinner, Safe and Sober Grad Night
  • Athletic Team Parent
  • Snack Shack Volunteer
  • Transportation to games
  • Hosting Team Dinners
  • Drama/Music Performance Volunteer
  • Graphic Arts design, landscaping support or other discipline
  • At-large community volunteers in Admissions, Campus Ministry, ASC or other offices
  • Donation of refreshments ($25 Value = 1 Service Hour), 2 dozen homemade refreshments/meals = 1 Service Hour
Our hope is that parents and extended family and friends will see the benefit of partnering in their child’s education and support one or many of the initiatives listed above. As a school built on integrity and honor, we ask parents to keep track of their own volunteer hours.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Special events throughout the year raise funds for programs benefitting our students and provide opportunities for our community to celebrate together. There are many ways to participate – sponsorships, item donations, and of course, your attendance.
