Global Studies Freshman Community Indian Dinner Night
This January, freshmen have been studying the culture of India in their Global Studies class. As a fun way to enjoy this non-western culture, they gathered in the JPII Center on January 28 with their family members to feast on Indian curry and rice and listen to Indian music, while a film about the hardships and village life in India under British rule played in the background.
Many were involved in making this happen. A very special thanks goes to MC's four Global Studies teachers--Joe Tassone, Lynn Maloney, Joan Caraluggio, and Michelle Fontaine--delicious food catered by Lotus Cuisine of India in San Rafael, special Indian chutney made by Freshman parent Casey Domingo, and clean up by Mario Pacheco.
