Outings Club Camps at Big Sur

The Outings Club had its first overnight camping trip of the year on November 8-9.  Club Members went to Big Sur, CA and set up their tents at Riverside Campground. The group enjoyed a night hike to Pfeiffer Water Falls on Friday night.  Members then cooked a delicious stir fry dinner which included brown rice, vegetables, and tofu.  This was followed by story telling and s'more making by the fire.  Saturday morning the group had a heart breakfast to fuel for their 8.5 mile hike at Andrew Molera State Park.  The group hiked the ridge trail and returned along the bluff trail enjoying spectacular coastal views.  In the middle of the hike the club stopped for a picnic lunch at a remote beach.  This club is open to any Marin Catholic student.  The Outings Club is beginning to plan their next adventures which include a moonlight summit hike to the peak of Mt. Tamalpais.  Additionally, the club can't wait to go on another overnight trip!
