Wildcat Tennis Take Down the Bulldogs

We've had another great win against San Rafael High, overall score 8:1. Maria played great against Ciara, winning the first set 6:1 by playing her game, hitting her great shots, and taking advantage of Ciara's stress. Second set, Ciara was steady, changed her game and won the second 6:2. Tie break was neck to neck, when Maria decided to change the passe of her shots, hitting lobs, keeping the ball on the court, hitting to her backhand until she missed, Maria finished the match with her killer first serve, thank god :). Great win: 10-7 in the tiebreak . Good job Maria!! Cassidy gave us a bit of a scare first set, leading 5:2 by playing her great angles and killer flat shots, but then cassidy started playing her opponent's game which led to 5:6, Cassidy finally got angry and started playing her game, winning her tiebreak. Cassidy then won her second easily 6:1. Good come back Cass!! Jackie played against a solid player with weird shots, playing smart, keeping the ball in the court, finishing the ball when she could, orchestrating the point by sending her opponent to the corner and coming to the net, made her win the points. later her opponent figured that out and started lobbing over Jackie, which made her win a few games. Jackie of course changed her game again and won 6:2, 6:3, Great job Jackie! Natalie played very well in the first set winning 6:0, but then like Cassidy, she started playing her opponents game, missing shots led to a tiebreak. Natalie had to change her game, hitting more to her opponents backhand, playing more offensive, hitting the shots without fear, almost giving me a heart attack, she managed to win the second set and match. Great win Natalie! Mikaela played well, keeping steady, and let her opponent miss her shots, made an easy win of 6:1, 6:0. Great consistent game Mikaela!! Britt had an easy match as well, by hitting her flat killer shots, moving her opponent, and leaving her behind with a great win of 6:1, 6:0. Great job Britt! Claire and Daisy played a nerve wrecking match as well, the combination of Claire, being at the net, and daisy from the base line gave them a perfect set of 6:0, but then, I guess they've decided to take a little snooze, missing shots, volleys and loosing the second set 6:2. Tiebreak was neck to neck, out opponents decided to play agaist Daisy, keeping the ball out of Claire. Daisy had long points, keeping the ball in the court, and keeping her opponents from coming to the net, finally made her opponents miss the shots and led to a great win of 10:8 in the tiebreak. Leila and Emma played against a tough opponents, I think there was some mistake in that line up, but they did their best playing against a great Pair, great volleys and good base line, led to a loss of 6:1, 6:2. Nice try girls, we'll get them next time :). Finally, Gabrielle and Isabelle played together, started the set a bit off, but soon enough with Gabbie's great volleys and Isabelle's great base line, gave them a great win of 6:3, 6:2. I don't know about the parents or the girls who were watching the matches, but I was so exhausted, but so proud of my girls!!!! Next week we have a tough week against Redwood and Branson, I'll try to work on my best line up to get the most wins. If you have any input on the opposing players, I would love to hear about it.
