Congratulations to the Meave Poetry Contest Winners
The 15 winners of the schoolwide Meave Poetry Contest gathered on the evening of April 27 for an evening reception and poetry reading. The sponsors of the event, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Meave, and their daughter Ariel, an MC alumnus, were present at the event. The inspiration for this year’s contest was the summer reading book, The Boys in the Boat. Students were invited to write a poem about a time when they “pulled their own weight. The overall school winner was Jackie McLaughlin for her poem “Atlas 2.0.”
