On October 23rd, over 140 students were recognized for their outstanding academic achievement during the 2016-2017 school year.
On October 23rd, over 140 students were recognized for their outstanding academic achievement during the 2016-2017 school year. These awards and recognitions honored current sophomores, juniors and seniors for their excellence in their work at Marin Catholic, on Advanced Placement exams, and PSAT exams. Freshmen were also recognized for their achievement in their work prior to entering Marin Catholic. In addition, the first cohort of Marin Catholic Junior Fellows were recognized for their work in pursuing their academic passions through research and/or field study. Following the presentation of awards, Honored Speaker, Mr. Peter Berkhout, Science Department Chair and recipient of the Monsignor James T. Tarantino Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award, spoke about the importance of reading. You can access his list of book recommendations here.
