Stacy Azcarate

Miller, Sabino & Lee, Founder
Stacy founded Miller Sabino & Lee in 1999. As a preeminent recruiter and advisor in the legal placement field, Stacy has placed numerous partners and large practice groups nationwide, assisted firms with mergers and the development of strategic growth plans, opened law firm offices and facilitated hundreds of single attorney placements both in companies and law firms. She has authored articles that have appeared in California Lawyer Magazine, The Recorder and the Daily Journal. She has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The Recorder, The National Law Journal, The American Lawyer, The Wall Street Journal Blog, Abovethelaw.com and GlassHammer.com. She frequently lectures, gives presentations and authors articles on legal recruiting, professional development and the business of the legal profession.

Stacy is a member of the California Bar and the American Bar Association. She currently serves on several boards including as the Vice-Chair of the Board of Counselors of USF School of Law, the USF Women Lawyer’s Committee and the Board of Regents of Marin Catholic High School. She has also served as a member of The Jack and Buena Foundation, a member and President of the Board of Governors of USF School of Law, a member of ALM/The Recorder Strategy Board, and the President of The Lawyers' Club of San Francisco. She is active in the Women’s IP Lawyers Association, ACC, the San Francisco Bar Association and Queen’s Bench.

Stacy is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Cruz (1992) and earned her JD (1996) from The University of San Francisco School of Law where she was a member of the Moot Court Board and a directed research assistant for the development of The Center for Law and Policy where she assisted in rewriting the real estate portions of the Cambodian Civil Code. During law school she also was a summer law clerk for the International Courts in The Hague. Stacy has traveled and worked extensively abroad in both the health and legal fields. She speaks Spanish and French.
