LAPTOP INFORMATION

At Marin Catholic, technology is viewed as a learning tool to acquire knowledge, problem-solve, practice skills, demonstrate and communicate understanding, and explore learning in new ways. 
 
Marin Catholic has a “Bring Your Own Laptop” Device model for the incoming freshman class. Though we are a “Bring Your Own Laptop” Devices school, Apple laptops are the recommended device. The reason being there are specific eBooks and software programs that are only compatible with an Apple device. Some courses may require additional software that will be discussed on an individual class basis.
 
Recommended Device:
Apple - MacBook Pro, MacBook Air or MacBook 
 
Other device possibilities include:
High powered PC/Chromebooks
 
Reminders:
  • Students are expected to know how to operate their device prior to coming to Marin Catholic. 
  • Marin Catholic does not have a dedicated support department and accidents do happen. It is highly encouraged to purchase a protection warranty for your device. 
  • Devices should have a battery life of 8+ hours and be fully charged for school. 
  • Storage varies. More storage is always better. 16GB+
