What: This trip will offer an extraordinary opportunity for our students to travel to what has been called “the most biologically intense place on earth”. They will be introduced to the exotic wildlife of the coastal lowland tropical rainforest. They will be active; hiking to waterfalls, fishing for their dinner, swimming, and surfing. They will be active participants in the community; participating in the Endangered Sea Turtle Voluntourism program (voluntourism - tourists helping to assist the researchers in their work) and learning about sustainable food production from a local expert. The immersion in the Latin culture of Costa Rica will provide them with a rich cultural experience they won’t soon forget.
The trip has been designed for a small group of students to offer them the most impactful experience possible.
